semana clásica de puerto sherry 2018
Puerto Sherry has been very lively this summer 2018 enjoying its Classic Week, which this year has celebrated its fourth edition and where more than 20 boats have had fun sailing and competing in the Bay of Cadiz, one of the best race courses around the world, recognized and endorsed by high-level athletes who are used to spend long periods training in our facilities.
The ideal weather conditions, wind and average temperatures, together with the attractive culinary, leisure and lodging offer of Puerto Sherry, encourage sailors from all over the world to set up their training base in our Marina.

The IV Puerto Sherry Classic Week has also had a varied program on land dedicated to leisure, such as the Classic Vehicles Concentration that has brought together a large number of vehicles and in which its occupants have been able to wear the appropriate clothing and according to the model of their "device" in its route through the city of El Puerto de Santa Maria and its surroundings.

Daily exhibitions of Painting, Sculpture, Ceramics and Photography every afternoon/evening from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. were of great interest to visitors who took the opportunity to purchase their "little" work of art at La Galería 18, located in one of the commercial premises under Las Suites in Las Suites de Puerto Sherry.

La Sherry Pool Party, one of the most awaited and desired parties of the summer, entertained participants and companions with live music and sessions led by renowned DJ's of the national scene.
Held on the Terrace of the Hotel Puerto Sherry, attendees were entertained and enjoyed the atmosphere in the garden and pools for most of the day on Thursday July 19, starting at 15'00 h. and ending in the wee hours of the morning.

After the trials on Friday 20 and after the seafood lunch, where rice dishes made with Pláncton Marino were served, the Burro Polo match began, another classic that was not missing in this regatta. The participating crews, carrying a broom as a mallet and provided with a single ball, formed teams and took turns to ride on the backs of sturdy donkeys, making the competition take place almost in the purest style of traditional Polo. The winners were able to celebrate their triumph in the bar of the Club Nautico Puerto Sherry where they were offered a cocktail tasting.
